New gameplay mechanic - Avarice crime report

As we mentioned in the roadmap announcement post, we felt the need for the player to be able to get engaged more in the story. We looked into ways the player can influence the world.

- We want the fixer to be feared more.

The talks about the "fixer" may have sparked interest for players, but its prospect was not very threating. The AVAC will now try to rain down the fixer more early in the game.

- The AVAC announces they will use "fixerain" unless the people of the Ajik city behave.

The AVAC hands out buttons that the people of Ajik city to report each other for their avarice crime. The whole city is challenged to sort out certain number of avarice criminals or suffer the consequences in the form of fixerain doom. Will this policy make the people turn on each other? Or will it make the people unite against AVAC? Maybe, the buttons will just be used to get done with personal feuds.


- The policy change will affect the people you meet.

We have added some new customer behaviors that reflect these changes so that the story can be more dramatically delivered.

Revoked save file compatibility

With this update, previous saves players may have had after day 6 will be disabled. Saves from day 7 or later will not be able to load.

The player feedback from the Early Access so far have got us to realize that big changes - larger than that we previously planned - were needed in order for the game to get better. We have made the difficult decision to revoke some save file compatibility, and instead create room for the gameplay and story to change a lot more.

We sincerely apologize to the players who have been looking forward to continue the game with their latest save from day 25. We have taken great care to make the gameplay better and refreshed the story so that this change would not mean playing the same game over from start again, but be closer to playing a changed, interesting new version of the game. Save file compatibility for saves before day 5 will be maintained, as there are no major changes from the previous version during those play times.

The next update

Although they have not been included with the upcoming 0.4 version, there are plenty more features we are looking to introduce based on player feedback. In version 0.5, players will be able to enter other stores in the street and buy various items.

With the 0.4 update, we will provide more detail regarding the 0.5 update.
