Welcome back, Employee 627!

Paranormal Security has deployed a new update version 0.1.6.208 for y'all to investigate in!

This update focused a lot on game tweaking changes, performance improvements, and preparations for later content!
A bunch more anomalies and Entity anomalies have been added to the Country House.

⚡ Features / Content added & changes


  • Added more Hard and Impossible difficulty anomalies
  • Added reverb sound system to the Office
  • Added the seed as text in the bottom right corner of the current selected location
  • Added "Area not available" text to objects planned to be expanded
  • Added additional hitbox for moved anomalies, so you can report the original position as well as the moved object
  • Created more Geisha shenanigans and Entity events on CountryHouse
  • Changed shadow behaviour on distance
  • Changed Office world and lighting settings, this should increase the FPS significantly, depending on your system
  • Changed CountryHouse lighting settings
  • Changed minimum not repeatable anomalies array to 80% of the total anomalies active
  • Changed reporting circle behavior moving to the actual actor, will be more changed in the future
  • Changed Geisha entity hitbox
  • Changed the "x minutes until crash" text so it will show the actual seconds left until crashing
  • Changed report circle to have a final position
  • Changed the Entity spawner system so only one entity class can spawn at the same time (ex: only 1 Geisha at the same time but different entities can still spawn)
  • Reduced lighting in the Office
  • Adjusted shadow settings (This should fix most of the wacky shadows)
  • Increased anomaly timer on Hard and Impossible by 1 tick to counter the long report timer
  • Replaced the Stock image on the Country House
  • Rewrote the anomaly randomizer (Anomalies now spawn more according to their difficulty (Example: Hard difficulty anomalies now spawn way more often than easier once when playing on hard))
  • Limited Global Illumination level to "High" instead of Ultra, as it didn't affected GI much and tanked the FPS for no reason
  • Removed breaker and server text from E-Mail for now as it's not part of the gameplay in this version
  • The selected difficulty is now displayed on the button as well so it's more clear what difficulty you've selected
  • You now always get at least 2 entity anomalies
  • Locked and inaccessible area doors do not give an interact circle anymore

🔧 Fixed Bugs


  • Fixed sign text clipping out of bounds on multiple languages
  • Fixed that the shadow model of the player doesn't play footsteps (No double footsteps anymore)
  • Fixed Entity spawner ignoring blocked cameras (Entities could spawn on malfunctioning cameras)
  • Fixed some light bleeding through the hallway walls
  • Fixed the colors of the blockade at the Country House Outside camera being blue when playing on low graphics mode
  • Fixed Distortion anomaly overwriting the spazm audio and audio anomaly volume
  • Fixed credits font not loading correctly
  • Fixed shadows on smaller objects
  • Fixed shadows on the signs in the Office Hallway
  • Fixed levitation anomaly clipping through the floor
  • Fixed texture not loading correctly of the stone in front of the office
  • Fixed the hitbox of the bathtub when upside down
  • Fixed Toiletpaperholder double hitbox
  • Fixed Gnome move anomaly having the wrong camera index resulting the default camera reporting the change
  • Fixed LOD level of objects on Country House
  • Fixed custom difficulty using "Impossible" weight values
  • Fixed stats save file not migrating correctly
  • Fixed when it detects a too-new generated stats file (ex: Switching from unstable to stable), it couldn't load correctly
  • Fixed critical soft-lock, when you pressed ESC multiple times when getting back into the office, it would give you a black screen and you couldn't do anything anymore and needed to force close the game
