[p][/p][p]In World War II, tank destroyers (especially German assault guns like the Jagdpanzer IV) were specialized armored vehicles primarily designed to counter and destroy enemy tanks, serving as mobile anti-tank reserves that emphasized speed, powerful high-velocity guns, and ambush tactics rather than general-purpose combat, allowing conventional tanks to focus on offensive exploitation and infantry support instead of dueling other armor. Self-propelled guns (SPGs), in contrast, functioned mainly as mobile artillery platforms—often mounting howitzers or larger-caliber weapons—to deliver direct or indirect fire support to advancing infantry and armored units, enabling rapid bombardment of fortifications, troop concentrations, and soft targets while keeping pace with fast-moving operations, though many designs (for instance self-propelled howitzers like the ISU-152) blurred lines by excelling in both anti-tank and infantry-support roles depending on armament and tactical needs.[/p][p][/p][p]How to play these tanks in our game?[/p]
