PC Building Simulator Update v0.8.2 - A case full of bug fixes!

Hello PC Builders,

This weeks update is mostly to fix various issues that have been found since the previous update while we continue development work on further career improvements and the overclocking feature. We get asked alot when overclocking is coming, but it is going to be a few weeks yet due to the work involved so please be patient.

Build v0.8.2 Patch Notes

New Parts

NZXT S340 Elite (White)
We got a lot of requests for the white version of the S340 Elite after our last update so here it is!

EVGA SuperNOVA 1200 P2, 80+ PLATINUM (PSU)

EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2, 80+ GOLD (PSU)

  • Save games can now be named.
  • Improved RAM compatibility; in preparation for overclocking, RAM now requires similar sticks in a machine to be matched.
  • GPU thermal shut-off temperature has been raised, this should reduce the amount of blue screen errors relating to overheating GPU’s.
  • Added a Restart option to the OS start menu.
  • Cable connection points that cannot be connected for some reason now highlight in Red.
  • Diagnose and Repair jobs now require replaced parts to be similar to the ones that were broken.
  • Fixed PSU fans no longer spinning.
  • Fixed the duplication issue on the PCI lock of the SilverStone PS14.
  • Fixed the issue with Build job post-it notes vanishing when transferring them from bench to bench.
  • Fixed some SATA connections not being connected to the actual motherboard.
  • Fixed the alignment issues for Water Coolers on the CORSAIR Crystal Series 570X RGB case.
  • Fixed the issue with the fan being inside the Cryorig C1 CPU cooler.
  • Fixed not being able to install the lower front case fan on the Antec DF500 when you had a Water Cooler installed in the rear slot.
  • Fixed an issue with PCI slot covers on the Cooler Master H500P case being out of line with second GPU installs.
  • Fixed various save game issues reported by players since the last update, these saves should now load with this update.

What’s Next?

As mentioned at the start of these notes work has begun on the overclocking feature, alongside this we are working on further career objectives to support features already released such as Dual GPUs and Water Cooling and even adding some more storyline missions!

There is lots of exciting things coming for PC Building Simulator in the coming months, I just wish I could say more!

Happy Building!
