🆕 New Functionality
- Added icons to Handbook stats
- Added tooltips to stats by suggestion of Lifeinsteps
- Added Handbook and Backpack right hand grabbing poses
- Removed break build binding from primary button on right hand (A on Quest 2). Can now only access from Handbook Builds menu
- Added binding to primary button on left hand to open the Menu book since Valve Index doesn’t have a menu button like Quest 2
- When building, the later parts are now almost invisible to let the player focus on the current order and not try to build later parts (legs of a table before the top)
- By suggestion of ChibiArcher I made the tooltip (the window that shows up when you go over a craft) not clip through the book
- Left hand has been made equal to the right hand. Everything you can do with the right hand, you can now do with the left hand: interact with UI, pick up objects from a distance, build, break build, place dirt.
- Reduced hand grab distance from 20 cm to 15 cm (the near grab not the distance grab)
- Crouch eye now opens when the player is detected by animals and bosses
- Added health bars to animals
- Slight change in the stone dagger model
- Added grab hand poses to all tools
- Added inverted grab to all tools (can grab both ways, rogues rejoice!)
- Consumed food removed floating point from timer and added minutes/seconds
- Added jump sound effect
- Disabled stamina hud by suggestion of JustFrosty
- Disabled distance item placement for crafts
- Arrow craft improved: slide is 60% easier; added indicator; reset craft on cancel; fixed white spots
- Improved performance on standalone devices by a lot (Quest, Quest 2, Quest Pro)
- Changed ocean shader a bit
- Added virtual keyboard. You can now name your characters and worlds the way you want and play the same seed as your friend
- Optimized the Homestead
- Added panting sound effect when under 20% stamina
🔥 Bug Fixes
- Fixed hand offsets
- When let go of object it now correctly goes into the world (it was attached to the backpack before)
- Backpack items now drop on death spot not where you last opened the backpack
- When picking item from backpack if another item is near, it gets picked up too but scale stays the same
- Pocket slots now only store tools and not items
- Improved Handbook, Backpack and pocket slots interaction
- Fixed bug where the player couldn’t put items in the backpack after it was released from the right hand
- Fixed bug where picking items without distance grab caused items to be stuck in the air and move weird
- Fixed a bug where the damage canvas was interactable
- Bone shovel can now dig
- Removed a fun bug where the player could use a shovel to fly around
- Removed loading screen artifacts
- Fixed bug where player’s HP is exactly 0 but player doesn’t die, and consequent errors
