*Second Update* - After working all night on trying to get R8 working correctly, we still have not found a solution to a backend networking problem were experiencing that causes server lag, and then a connection drop. Due to this, we have to roll back the game to R7 with a wipe. We'll continue to work on this release until we resolve the issues it was having, and then when the patch is ready, we'll release the patch and re-wipe the server. The reason for the wipes being needed is that this patch addresses key exploits that cause players to unfairly dupe items.
*Update* - Were currently experiencing some issues with running multiple game servers per a server. In the meantime, we can only run one set of ping-protected official servers. Were working on a fix, and will update this thread. Community servers will also need to only run one instance of a game server on their server, or they will have crashing issues, we'll also put update notes in the community server update thread once we have a solution.
This release contains some fixes for bugs and exploits that were found which affected different areas of the game. Many back-end networking functions have also been changed to make the game more secure. Official servers have been wiped. We do not believe this update will require a wipe for community servers. Our ping protection system has been upgraded as well, as a result we've also made the majority of official servers ping-protected. If you cannot play on those, we are still running non-ping protected servers, and there are many different community servers with different ping limits that can also be played on.

Normally we do a wipe on the first Tuesday of each month, however, due to the delay in this wipe, we expect the next wipe to be on August 2nd.

- Fixed iron resource node decals stretching when hit
- Fixed iron resource node harvested model bad specular values
- Fixed bug where water splash audio wasn't effected by any volume sliders
- Hit reaction animations are now less intense
- Fix for bow strings and low framerates
- Switched the Steam Authentication on the ROk Servers to use a more secure method of authentication.
- Added a connection-interrupted screen that blocks input on the client when they have not received or sent messages for more then 5 seconds.
- Reduced the length of the initial Reign Of Kings logo when starting the game.
- Fixed popups not always showing when you get disconnected from a server.
- Ping protection system has been upgraded
- The game time shared between the server and its clients is now more accurate, depending on hardware. This affects some progress bars and events seen in-game.
- Reporting a player is now blocked for 5 minutes after it has been submitted, instead of blocking when the report menu is opened.
- Players will no longer see error messages involving the Ancient Sword or Ancient Crown when a different player caused them.
- Control settings have been reset to ensure that the mouse look axes have no dead zone by default.
- An input blackout will now appear after being disconnected from the server for 5 seconds. Automatic disconnects still occur at 30 seconds.
- The duration and threshold for auto-banning players are now available in the server settings.
- Changed rock colliders to be convex colliders
- Create a filter to make sure placing inside convex colliders should not happen
- Fix player name when a player is kicked from a guild
