Dear Players!
Thank you all for playing and sharing your opinions. We are monitoring your feedback carefully. After a weekend hard at work, we have just published a huge update with
major AI changes. This should make your experience way more enjoyable.
The list of changes includes:
- AI opponents will now lower their guard from time to time.
- AI opponents will now be less eager to retaliate immediately after blocking an attack.
- The guards will now make fewer attempts to jail the player when mounted on a horse.
- The number of attacks performed by mounted guards has been lowered.
At the same time, we tried to improve the experience on hard mode without changing too much at the core!
Moreover:
- The first two quests have had their difficulty lowered significantly (i.e. fewer guard spawns).
- During quests, using F9 will now reload the game from their starting point (while, by the way, fixing all the quest-related issues that may occur).
- The first few fights in the MMA Side Activity have been rebalanced for a more challenging experience.
- Several other bug fixes.
This week the team will focus mainly on:
[*]Adding extra checkpoints to quests, so you do not have to restart them from the very beginning.
[*]Further game balancing (various skill/perk combinations in particular).
[*]Minor and major bugfixes.
Known issues that are yet to be fixed (sorry about that)
- MMA fight with 2 monks might be super hard to pass
- pressing E after MMA fights might restart the fights until you start another quest.
- The controls might glitch when certain controllers are plugged in (a steering wheel and/or pedals); we recommend unplugging them before playing Rustler.
- Reloading an autosave made after quest completion (Jousting one in particular) might spawn you in inaccessible locations. Do not trust them entirely - better rely on savepoints and quest start autosave
Should you encounter any other bugs (which we hope you won’t),
please use the internal bug reporting tool from the ESC menu or write to us on the Steam Discussions forum. We are paying remarkably close attention to every case!
Happy horse stealing!
