Patch Notes
12/29 - 2.1 Update! Video removal!
This update was going to be bigger, but I had a power outage during dev work and lost some of the data and all of my patch notes. Thankfully, I had backed up most of the work/game earlier.
Video Removal:
In response to feedback from others, I have removed all of the videos from the game, with the exception of the following: the opening movie when a new game is started, the optional look in the mirror video that plays during chapter 7, the optional dance video that plays during chapter 7. This should remove the problems that players had with viewing the cutscenes on their PCs. This also removes the problem of unable to pause the video if a player has to step away from the game. All of the video cutscenes have been replaced with pictures and in-game text.
Character Adjustments:
Certain characters have had their moves adjusted due to the damage not calculating properly due to the damage type of the move being incorrect. As I mentioned before, my notes were lost in the power outage, so I unfortunately cannot remember EVERY change I made, but I do know that this mainly affects the temporary characters that join the party, as well as the following main party members: Dashell, Jessie, Escarlata.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue in chapter 7 where the screen fades to black and does not come back during a scene in Rolando.
Fixed an issue where the player character could get stuck after speaking with an NPC during chapter 7 in Rolando.
Fixed an issue where the screen fades to black and doesn't come back until after a few lines of text has displayed at the beginning of chapter 6.
Fixed the overall picture flickering issue that plagued much of the initial 2.0 update.
Spelling, grammar, typo, spacing issues that were found are corrected.
Fixed the issues of the pictures not displaying at the proper resolution in game. This was mainly due to the image resizer that I used after creating the images on a different website not being accurate to the images on my PC.
Fixed an issue where the game could improperly play through a cutscene without the player character and/or the npc characters present. Both of these instances occurred in chapter 7.
As always, thank you for playing Short Adventure! I will continue to monitor and test through the game for more issues, as well as continue to develop the rest of the game through its completion. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
