Hello There!
I hope everyone is doing well and keeping safe!
I am officially launching this Passion Project of mine to Steam on the 22nd of September. Snack Tick started out as a Game Jam Entry which came from the simple idea of being a bug collecting food and avoiding the big scary humans. A few weeks after developing this prototype, I decided to expand upon it and make a Multiplayer version that would allow for even more chaos. The early days of development were about setting the right foundation and systems, it turns out that getting 4 characters on screen at the same time and controlled by different inputs was a lot harder than expected. It then lead to the designs of more characters, which were all modeled from scratch. Then came the stages and new threats that would come with them. The Development of the Snack Tick has been an enriching experience, one which I'll never forget.
This is a project that I really enjoyed working on and I hope you all will enjoy playing it as much as I did working on it. This is not going to be the final version however, I will still be supporting and adding new Content and Bug fixes within the coming months. So stay tuned for that!
There will also be a Limited Time Demo that will be playable during Comic Con Africa Online 2020 (24-27 Sept 2020), so you could give Snack Tick a go there before making your purchase! Please note that the Demo is based on an older build of the game, so some visuals and controls may not be present in the full game.
