Patch Notes
Patch #0.73 New maps!
Soooo I forgot to post the patch notes of everything we did last week… meh bad. so this one is super long, encompassing everything we have updated over the last 2 weeks.
As always, we welcome any and all feedback!
If you want to see us working live, and get a sneak peek on the new maps I'm working on, hop over to our discord!
Added functionality:
Weapon cards now display on screen for weapons you find. Dismiss them if you'd like.
Turrets now display their range when you are placing them
Weapons can be scrapped now! Get some small amount of resources for all those Tier1 weapons littering the ground.
Starting loadouts now show what I think their difficulty is. You may have different opinions. If so, come share your voice on our discord.
Clicking on a portrait centers the screen on that character, moves your mouse to the center, and opens their radial UI. No more ugly radial UIs showing up at the edge of your screen for crewmember 8 and 9. This change has caused heartache amongst the people, and we don't know how to solve it. Help us!
Setting a building to be repaired automatically assigns the closest crewmember to build status.
Added content:
New maps! Try to spot the battlecruiser, the pier (rework), the SETL headquarters, and (my personal favorite) the exotic dancer club! Unfortunately, Nick hates our old maps, so we're down to just 6 maps for this patch. He's working hard on more, though.
Sweet new stats are tracked and displayed. This may kill any existing saves. My bad, yo. :X
Becoming angelic is reflected in game now. Poorly, but still. Same with poorly animated, although that is reflected poorly on purpose.
New quirks! Watch out for tinkerers and engineers who will make your repairs cheaper. Also, inventors who will build defenses instantly.
Balancing changes
Sending a wave early secures you additional points. Woo! Points!
Assigning people to jobs works .. different … now. I think it's better, but you be the judge.
Simon is a weakling, and so has been reduced in number on the second wave. May Steve reign supreme.
Melee weapons have had their damage numbers updated. Hammer is still king of damage, but the Axe needed improvement.
Repairing has been changed in how much it costs
Bugfixes:
Picking up a melee weapon won't switch to it if you already have a ranged weapon. Was this a bug? I dunno, I have no idea what other category it goes in.
Character dialog is suppressed when the options menu is opened
Sometimes, a specific dialog option would hork and kill the dialog system. This has been fixed. The person responsible for designing the dialog system has been sacked.
Characters don't ice skate anymore. It has been determined that Dick (lol) was the figureskating world champion of the SRIS universe, and so the competition has ended.
Characters no longer snap to aim at their targets.
Characters no longer aim at their targets while moving into range.
Gaining a buildable will no longer make you regret your life if you save and exit, then immediately start a new game.
Your save file now tracks historical information of what maps you've been on and what intros you've encountered
