CHANGELOG


New Monster - Witch


Added fourth alpha monster Witch. It is very dangerous, be extremely careful. It will be possible to kill the witch only after the destruction of her lairs. There are 3 of them, you must complete quests to find out their exact coordinates.

Up to this point, the witch slowly restores health. Recovery speed depends on the number of lairs remaining.



The witch herself has the ability to teleport and disappear for a while, so you'll have to keep your eyes peeled. Also, because it flies above the ground, there are no footstep sounds. The appearance of a witch will be frightening.

New quest system


When choosing a witch, you will have to complete quests according to the new system.

Instead of the prepared quest, you will now have many different ones. The bottom line is that in many locations there are predefined quests that are randomly selected at the beginning of the game. You must explore the location, find all the quest items and complete the quest. Thus, starting to play again, you may get tasks at different locations, and not the same main quest.

Please note that only 3 quests are ready for the witch so far, more will come later. After that, I will rework other monsters.

Specials


  • The light stick and road flare illuminates a large area and cast shadows.
Optimization


  • Added LODs for trees and bushes. The vegetation rendering range has been increased, a slight drop in FPS has been noticed, but it is less noticeable how trees appear.
Weapons


  • The aiming/unaiming animation starts immediately after the button is pressed, and not after the weapon is zoomed in/out.
  • Added a flashlight to the paranormal sensor.
  • Fixed unfocused sniper scope.
  • Fixed the animation for reloading the shotgun in third person.
  • Reduced shell particle speed to be visible when fired.
  • Weapon firing animation has been changed (before it bounced into hands like crazy).
  • Superweapon inspection animation has been changed.
  • Val, UV flashlight came on hand fixed.
Player


  • Battle cry option has been removed because not many people understand its meaning.
  • Added sharpen post effect.
  • Players enter the map from different points (so far only in the quest for the witch).
Sanity and scaring the player


  • At sanity levels above 50, after a while you can fall and become completely helpless. The only way out is to decrease the sanity! You will have to crawl to the nearest light source and call a friend for help to put a flood light. After being exposed to light for 15 seconds, your sanity will decrease and you will return to normal.
  • Fixed a bug when at the level of sanity above 75 when the ghostly werewolves did not appear from the red eyes.
Map


  • All hanging lanterns now reduce sanity.
  • Increased the brightness of light sources in houses.
  • Navigation meshes that could spawn monsters and bots have been removed from some rooftops.
  • Fixed moon brightness settings, fixed situations when it was getting dark at sunset and getting lighter at night. Now the brightness decreases and increases smoothly.
  • Farm, fixed house thresholds when a bot or monster could not enter the house. Removed non-interactive lamp meshes.
  • Reduced fog density during the day.
  • Night shorter by 10%
Bots


  • The bot resets the current command if it teleports to the player (fixes the situation when you send the bot far away and it teleports and again runs to the point and to infinity).
  • Bots reports if it killed a monster.
  • The bot detects monsters from a greater distance.
Monsters


  • Limited turning radius for all monsters to make them turn more smoothly.
  • Reduced damage before running home for alpha monsters by 75.
  • Wendigo acolytes lives reduced.
  • To make the quest for the wendigo not so long, the wendigo regeneration threshold has been reduced. If all acolytes are alive - 100%, if one is killed - 75%, if two are killed - 50% and 25% when all acolytes are killed.
UI


  • HUD redesign.
  • Added a supply mark on the map.
  • Name color above player and bot changed from green to white.
  • Added widget "press x to heal" when hit points below 30.
Audio


  • Added a couple of conversation phrases.
  • Reduced volume and range of footstep sound

BUG FIXES


  • Fixed when bot found something it interrupts quest dialogues.
  • Sometimes the bot still falls into the ground, гещ respawn is added.
  • The bot and its weapons receive decals.
  • Attachments for weapons receive decals.
  • After death, monsters move bones.
  • Fixed a bug that the silver cannon with its ammo counter changes the main weapon's ammo counter if not selected.
  • Headshot indicator overlapping the center of the screen and the tooltip not appearing when hovering over the old house location.
  • Shotgun reload sound fixed.
