Update #378: Shiner

[p][/p][p]Captain and officers, we've put some work into bug hunting and chasing player reports of issues for this late April update. There are all pretty detailed little fixes but each one responds directly to a bug report or suggestion put in by one of you - the captains that fly the void - so we're excited to bring this patch to the light.[/p][p]If you're out there helping us keep the flame alive in hope to reach Update #400, please share the game with a friend and be sure to leave a review to help us keep going!

[p]We love continuing to add to Star Traders: Frontiers, but primarily it’s sales of our new game Cyber Knights that keep our studio going. [/p][p]Help us out by spreading the word? Give the game a shout-out in any gaming community you’re in, or recommend it to any of your Steam friends that like games similar to Cyber Knights?[/p][p][/p]

Our Save Game Policy and Updates

[p]We are now including our saved game policy in all game updates so our commitment (to you!) is clear for all new and veteran players alike. Here goes -[/p][p]No saved game will ever be invalidated by an update. All new content and features will be added immediately to all saved games (with the reasonable exception of new game options). You never have to restart your save if you don't want to. This is a studio commitment that we have made and kept for many years and games. We stand by it. So do not stress about updates to your favorite space RPG or any game made by Trese Brothers.[/p][p][/p]

Stash Generator Improved

[p]With #379, we've improved the generation of resources and count of resources that are put into stashes when you draw an Explorer or Black Market card that reveals a far away stash. This will help make them more interesting, more valuable and more tied to the planet that they might be found on.[/p][p]Remember to check your Stash list to see what you've got![/p][p][/p]

Explorer and Orbital Op Bugs

[p]We've have a number of reported bugs over the years about how things could start to "break down" in the Explorer and Orbital ops mini-games if you played enough rounds stubbornly without leaving the screen. These are now all resolved - [/p]
  • [p]The "fast cards" option could suddenly stop being remembered and the cards would go slow. [/p]
  • [p]Over 100 runs, some of the cached data could start to cause a "drift" in the card selection which started to feature repeated cards too highly weighted.[/p]
  • [p]Some zones - regardless of how many times you played - had a certain configuration of stats that could vastly reduce the card count available to the roller. This would result in very close to identical card draws every time, but these zones were exceedingly rare.[/p]

[p] - Improved RTG stash generator for Explorer and Black Market[/p][p] - Fixed issue where "Fast Cards" preference would be ignored after a Talent was used[/p][p] - Fixed issue in with Craft Ranged Defense Bonus from Engine not always applying in some scenarios[/p][p] - Fixed issue with percentage bonuses in Explorer being wrong after 100+ runs[/p][p] - Fixed issues with some percentages (like +25%) showing as 125% in some hovers[/p][p] - Fixed a rare levels of zone states that could cause explorer hands to repeat[/p]
