List of changes
Pedestrians- Attempt to salvage an unused pedestrian animation - results are not satisfactory!
- Few extra vertex weighting touch-ups.
Main menu- Started work on remaking the original SL1 main menu!
- To preserve the original background art (stretching it looks terrible), the main menu is locked to a 4:3 aspect ratio (no black bars, don't worry).
- We experimented with using a map such as a parts shop or the car lot with custom camera movements to fill the blank sides, but this just didn't fit well enough thematically with the original art, so ultimately replaced it with an abstract texture of matching colors.
- The section remains fully capable of loading custom background scenery, and any upcoming mods for such scenery can be installed fully independently of mods for the interface itself, so the player could easily mix these by preference!
- With a scenery mod installed, the interface will automatically hide all background art, and expand to fullscreen.
Misc- Fixed two catastrophic edge-cases when using first person mode.
- Camera rail editor no longer expects a player car to always be present within the world.
- OSD flexibility improvements.
- Startup optimizations - it now takes less than two seconds between clicking the game icon to being loaded into the garage (with 'ok' specs).
