In short
Options, options, options!
List of changes
Options- Added a viewable list of all (important) non-rebindable controls.
- Fixed some bugs caused by changes in the list of available system resolutions.
- Ability to save/load control sets by name.
- 2 extra slots for saved control sets.
- Steering help, FFB, and a few other related settings are now saved (and thus of course can be loaded) per control set, rather than globally.
- Ability to reset controls to defaults.
- Added a confirmation dialog for resetting controls to defaults.
- Ability to adjust difficulty (damage multiplier).
- Parts now lose health slower/faster on impact depending on deformation multiplier (this may be reverted during gameplay testing, we'll see :))
- Adjustable traffic and pedestrian density.
- Added a VERY LOW setting for pedestrian density - they can be surprisingly CPU-intensive!
- Added an option to only use the vanilla pedestrian response lines, rather than the ones from crowdfunding supporters - some players may not like them :)
- Added an option for 28 slots per page inventory, rather than the usual 7 (20 instead of 5 for sub-widescreen resolutions).
- Added options for paint layer resolution scaling (described in progress update #21) - 2 extra levels featuring 1024x1024 resolutions are available (chassis only / bigger parts too).
This setting will only apply to newly bought cars/parts!
- Added an option to re-enable subtle fogging inside garages and other interiors.
- Added options to make loading screens disappear much more aggressively (before all scenery is loaded, so you'll see some pop-in as loading fully completes), or to disable them altogether (things load almost instantly on modern systems anyway).
- Added an option to display what exactly is happening during loading screens - may help with diagnosing crashes, and is something a little more interesting to look at if your system is exceedingly slow.
- Adjustable walking speed (up to full running speed).
- Adjustable mouse look sensitivity for first person mode.
Valo City- Poked at an oversized occlusion rectangle.
- Much rarer, but also more varied traffic at night.
- Rarer pedestrians at night, too.
- Fixed a way to break the pedestrian conversation dialog.
Misc- Fixed ability to hide the main menu using TAB, even if there is no modded-in background scenery to admire.
- Removed the default screenshot hotkey - if you need it, you can create a new bind for it using a console command (you can take screenshots using Steam or tools like RTSS anyway).
- A minor FileManager fix.
- Added a widescreen version of the loading screen.
- More file format optimizations.
- More detailed info for what the game is doing during loading screens (this feature already existed before the addition of the option).
The streets of Valo need more personalities!
Check out some interesting rewards in the crowdfunding thread! :)
