Version 1.0.5 [+Hotfix]

Hotfix: There was an issue where the game would freeze, this has since been resolved.

With two more weeks of development done, we have been able to fix up a lot of issues and added plenty of polish to the game. The goal here to have 1.0.5 be the final V1.0 version release before we start development of V1.1, which will come with bigger game-changing features.

This patch also marks the end of full-time ongoing development of TCT. After a short break of about two weeks, we're going to resume development at roughly 1-2 days per week for the coming months. There still are plenty of neat and important features on our list of things we want to add to the game though, and we're looking forward to showing you more about what that is soon.

If now, here is the full change log for Version 1.0.5! And for those of you who did not switch over to the open_beta version to get in on V1.0.3 and V1.0.4, below are the changes for those patches too.

Version V1.0.5 Improvements & Tweaks

  • Major overhaul of what the game shows and focuses on in race for smoother game flow.
  • - Added a turn-start overview phase to the game - Game now only shows move/reorder UI for rider stacks the player is part of - Showing the race overview a lot more when the player is not moving
  • Added a 1 resource point cost to moving up from P1 to P0, not refunded when going back to P1
  • Made top 10 stacking less viable for fulfilling sponsor goals, now gives 25% for lower placements
  • Revamped race simulation code to make escapees have a chance in simulated races
  • Made simulated races have a chance for riders to get a DNF
  • Tweaked how hard the AI chases down escapes that have several team members
  • Implemented a bias to follow the lead 'attack' group while the leader is still passive
  • Made classic no longer show their number of stages (1) in the race calendar
  • Created a prompt for deleting a save, so you can confirm the save will be deleted
  • Reworked the relative speed graphs on the team setup page, showing effects in a more precise way
  • Added tooltips for the Season Evaluation page for the Team Summary panel
  • Added a column for the country flag on the team page and scouting page for rider nationality
  • Added proper Dalluhan names, Middle-Eastern influence
  • Replaced some Archanan rider names with Central-Asian influenced ones
  • Added world map marker sprites to the world map screen
  • Implemented a stage start of stage marker in the stage profile
  • Added favorite stars on the list of nine stage favorites
Version V1.0.5 General Fixes

  • Fixed a crash at the beginning of a stage with a difficult terrain start
  • Fixed issue leading to broken saves and potential simulation issues in saves
  • Fixed finish placements being wrong after moving across the line from the last node of the stage
  • Fixed P0 riders not getting a chance to respond to attack moves from P0
  • Fixed the scoreboard fading in and out during a turn crossing a spring / climb / finish line
  • Fixed NaN showing up as group speed for the peloton when there are no tracked riders
  • Fixed Telecom Archana and Channel 69 Cylcing having the same team jersey and colors
  • Fixed chasedown algo not considering all groups ahead, only considering the front-most group
  • Fixed funding increase bug in preseason showing up when exiting and reloading a savegame
  • Fixed rider selection UI showing a full energy bar when a rider was out of energy
  • Fixed stage finish scoreboard points / jersey being of the wrong type in tours
  • Fixed groups forming through attacks sometimes not showing up in the movement UI
  • Fixed tooltip for rider vs team selection buttons in the season standings page
  • Disabled the 'Details' button on reordering until it is fully implemented
Very much looking forward to a little bit of a break and then to get some of those wishlist features implemented into the game.
