Final Patch Before Early Access Launch
[p]This is the final update before
Tomo Jam officially enters Early Access this Friday. This patch focuses on improving readability, responsiveness, and overall game feel, with a mix of under-the-hood improvements and visible polish. This new version is available on the Demo version as well.[/p][p][/p]
Gameplay & System Improvements
- [p]Improved note movement and camera behavior
Notes now scroll toward a fixed camera instead of the camera moving through the lane. This change improves visual consistency and enables cleaner effects going forward.[/p]- [p]Time signature-aware beat indicators
Beat visuals now reflect the song’s actual time signature (such as 3/4 or 4/4), allowing bar lines and beat indicators to better match the music.
Custom MIDIs without time signature data will default to 4/4.[/p]- [p]Combo tracking
Once the JAMMIN meter is filled, a visible combo tracker appears to show your current note streak.
This does not affect scoring yet, but will be expanded on in the future.[/p]- [p]Note scroll speed option Players can now adjust how fast notes scroll toward the play head, independently of song BPM. Faster speeds spread notes out more for improved readability. (Requires restarting the current song to take effect.)[/p]

Visual & UI Refinements
- [p]Cleaner lane presentation by removing individual 16th-note segments and displaying only the first beat per bar[/p]
- [p]New judgement-based visual feedback when hitting notes, with color changes for Perfect, Good, and more[/p]
- [p]Player indicators (P1–P4) are now always visible next to the play head for better multiplayer clarity[/p]
- [p]Improved Improv Mode visuals, including distinct indicators even when improv sections begin off-beat[/p]
- [p]Reduced visual clutter by removing the bottom beat arrow[/p]
- [p]Automatic support for non-16:9 screen resolutions[/p]
[p][/p][p][/p]
Additional Improvements
- [p]Added a Feedback button in the options menu to submit anonymous feedback or bug reports directly from the game[/p]
- [p]Reorganized the options menu for better readability[/p]
[p]This update represents the final round of polish before Early Access. Thanks to everyone who tested the demo and shared feedback, it’s had a direct impact on the game heading into launch. I couldn't have got here without you![/p][p]
Early Access launches January 16.[/p]
