Major Gameplay Update
[p]This weekend’s update is a
big mechanical step forward for Tomo Jam, focused on making songs clearer to read, more expressive to play, and easier to tailor to your personal rhythm preferences.[/p][p]A lot of this came directly from player feedback - thank you for that![/p]
New End-of-Song Stats & Scoring
- [p]Added a detailed end-of-song stats screen[/p]
- [p]Breakdown of Perfect / Good / Bad / Miss notes[/p]
- [p]New traditional arcade-style score for single-player[/p]
- [p]Percentage-based scoring remains unchanged for local co-op[/p]
[p]Solo play now gives much deeper performance feedback, while couch play stays relaxed and friendly.[/p][p][/p]
Button Color Customization
- [p]Customize the colors of displayed buttons[/p]
- [p]Improves accessibility, readability, and personal comfort[/p]
- [p]More customization options planned over time[/p]
[p][/p]
Normalized Scroll Speed
[p]This was a commonly requested feature.[/p]
- [p]Optional Normalized Scroll Speed setting[/p]
- [p]Keeps note scroll speed consistent across different BPMs[/p]
- [p]High-BPM songs no longer feel visually rushed compared to slower tracks[/p]
[p]If you’ve ever felt that faster songs were harder to read
just because of speed, this setting should help a lot.[/p]
BPM-Aware Ornamentation
[p]Another optional gameplay setting designed to improve readability and playability:[/p]
- [p]Songs above 89 BPM will automatically ornament 16th notes[/p]
- [p]Helps avoid note densities that are nearly impossible to play cleanly[/p]
- [p]Can be disabled if you prefer the original, unmodified difficulty[/p]
[p]This keeps fast songs expressive without turning them into unreadable walls of notes.
[/p]
[p]Original: 130 BPM song with extremely fast 16th note section[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Toggled on: same section extremely fast section combined into a single hold[/p]
Thank You
[p]Thank you to everyone who’s been playing Tomo Jam and sharing feedback - it’s directly shaping how the game evolves.[/p][p]Thanks for jamming 🎶[/p]
