Online Leaderboards
[p]Tomo Jam now supports
Steam-based leaderboards, allowing your scores to be recorded and displayed alongside other players.[/p][p][/p]
Key Features
- [p]Your Steam profile is attached to your score[/p]
- [p]Scores can be viewed in two places:[/p]

Song Select while selecting instruments[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]At the
end of a song after submitting a score[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
- [p]Optional auto score submission toggle lets you choose whether scores upload automatically[/p]

- [p]Leaderboards are for single player runs only for the time being. Band leaderboards will come later[/p]

Score Submission Rules
[p]To keep leaderboards fair and consistent, some modes and settings affect eligibility:[/p]
Novice Mode
- [p]Novice mode does not track scores locally and therefore…[/p]
- [p]Scores achieved in Novice Mode are not uploaded to the online leaderboard[/p]
- [p]If the BPM-Aware Ornaments options is off scores are not uploaded to the online leaderboard[/p]
- [p]If the Disable Ornaments option is on scores are not uploaded to the online leaderboard[/p]
Practice Tempo
[p]If BPM is adjusted away from
100% tempo[/p]
- [p]Scores will be saved locally only[/p]
- [p]These runs will not upload to leaderboards[/p]
Existing Scores
- [p]Previously saved local scores will not automatically upload[/p]
- [p]Only new scores earned from this update onward can be submitted[/p]

Custom Songs & Leaderboards
[p]All pack-in songs are
leaderboard-ready by default.[/p][p]For
custom songs, leaderboard support requires a SongID:[/p]
- [p]Use the Tomo Jam Metadata Editor which is in the /tools folder in your Tomo Jam install directory to generate a SongID for your custom MIDIs[/p]
- [p]Once a SongID is generated, the song becomes leaderboard compatible[/p]
- [p]If you share custom MIDI files along with their metadata file, leaderboard support will automatically work for other players playing this song[/p]
[p]This helps ensure scores are properly tracked and shared across the community.[/p][p]One of our Discord community members made a helpful guide on how to add custom MIDIs as well as modify the metadata file to get your songs set up for Leaderboard compatibility.[/p]

Other Fixes and Changes

- [p]A new pack-in song has been added! "Spooky House Bop". It's quirky, and a little bit spooky, definitely fun to play![/p]
- [p]The instrument grid has received a slight touch-up to include letter grades along with your local high score %[/p]
- [p]Added an "Audio" tab in the options where all your volume sliders are housed[/p]
- [p]Fixed rare crash issue caused by midi voices not cleaning up correctly[/p]
