Hello everyone!
The latest update for "Underground Garage" Alpha on Steam, build 4622, introduces a variety of new features and improvements:
1. Mechanic Mode: - Fully operational mechanic mode allows players to change parts, each influencing driving physics.
- Available cars: Hotch Rider 1965, Blackline A70, Zuma ZET JR-3, Foryx Bull HI, and Nexa Cloud A23.
2. Paint Mode: - Cars can be painted and customized with stickers. Stickers can be rotated (using buttons 'e' and 'q') and resized (using scroll).
3. Open World Map: - The entire planned district is accessible to players, though still under refinement.
- NPCs are visible and interactive within the map.
4. Driving Mechanics: - Driving physics are simcade-style, dependent on the car parts' statistics.
5. Quests: - A Tutorial quest is fully functional.
- Procedurally generated quests are available after completing the Tutorial, focusing on car statistic tuning, accessible through the Journal (button 'J').
- Time Trial Race, currently in testing, is available near the Deb garage.
Known Issues: - Occasional incorrect driving behavior, as it is still being polished.
- Some car elements cannot be rendered correctly.
- Inconsistencies in the UI.
Current Priorities: - Resolving issues with car traffic which is currently too bug-ridden.
- Optimization efforts to ensure stability at 30fps on gaming computers at Epic quality settings.
- Development of a questline featuring various types of quests, primarily focusing on improving car AI.
