If you've been following Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer's Legacy since it was announced at this year's E3, you'll probably know that an Open Access Beta is available for anyone who backs the game on crowdfunding platform Fig.
The campaign doesn't have a specific end goal, but it does have a development roadmap with milestone incentives. When a milestone is reached/passed, an update is released that features a special quest – and the first of these is poised to launch next week.
The 'Scavenger Hunt' update is scheduled to go live on Wednesday, 14 August, at 1PM PT / 10PM CEST / 9PM BST, and it tasks players with finding one of five hidden statues. Players who are first to find one of the statues will be given the opportunity to collaborate with developer Ludomotion to have their adventure immortalised in the final game.
If you want to participate in the Scavenger Hunt, you will need to back the game first. There are two packages available – the Wayfarer ($25) and Legacy ($45) – contents vary (obviously), but both include a digital copy of the game when it's released.
