This update brings a mix of practical improvements and cutting-edge features to enhance both performance and usability. One of the most noticeable changes is the
new Player Calibration system. Previously complex and finicky, adjusting your virtual body to match your real-world proportions is now a lot easier and far more accurate.
We’ve also made substantial progress in
player body control. Movements are now more stable and consistent, significantly reducing glitches and improving overall immersion. In line with this,
we’ve removed the old “Dynamic” Player Position system and introduced a new default body handling method that is more predictable and less prone to issues.
A small but important control change: the
default controller mapping for locomotion has been updated, with left and right controls swapped. If this doesn't suit your preference, you can easily adjust it via
Main Menu > Settings > Controls.
For those on high-end hardware (4070 should be fine), we’re introducing
experimental raytracing support. While still in early stages, this feature brings more realistic lighting and reflections to the experience—pushing visual fidelity to the next level.
Finally, we’ve resolved a long-standing issue with the
SteamVR Tracker. It's now functioning reliably again, restoring full compatibility and improving tracking stability for SteamVR users.
As always, this update includes numerous bug fixes and more improvements, check out the
full list of updates below!
Take care
