We’re alive we swear! We’ve been hard at work revamping a LOT in our app to make it a better, quicker, and more accessible experience. Let me introduce you to all the amazingness in this one:
*Remote PC support BETA- go to
vspatial.com/downloads and download the “Remote Desktop Install for Windows” on any pc you wish to remote into. It works with no issues on local networks but you can also go into advanced settings and access your remote from anywhere. We know there’s still some improvements to be had on this but they’re coming! For now there is no audio on the remote streams, but we’ll be fixing that and getting a higher quality stream soon.
*Many many optimizations (and totally redoing how we capture windows to bring them into VR) to make the app quicker and more responsive (as well as making it more robust)
*More headset support- We support the Rift, Rift S, Vive, Vive-Pro, and Windows MR headsets. We also "kind of" support the Valve Index with this release, but can't 100% confirm that until we test it all out. Look for an update next week. vSpatial is now more accessible than ever for you to jump in with your colleagues and friends together. (We also have some mobile-vr headsets that will be getting support soon, so stay tuned for that)
*Major improvements to meeting audio
*Major improvements and support for expressive avatars which include lip-sync, eyes, and better/ smoother avatar tracking
*Access/ open all of your windows from the “canopy”- Open vSpatial with a clean slate and grab any of the windows you wish from the canopy above, or open the vNav and search for any apps that aren’t already open.
*Countless other bug squashings
We are still Early Access at this point, so please continue to give us feedback at feedback@vspatial.com or notify us on our Steam forum.
We hope you enjoy this update, and look forward to upcoming releases (that’ll be happening more often 😀 )
Cheers from the vSpatial Team
