[p][/p][p][/p][p]Hey, everyone! It's Ryan, creator of Wicked Seed.[/p][p][/p][p]Just two short weeks to go until Wicked Seed launches! Even though it's just been a little over a week since my last update, I've been hard at work every day polishing and play testing. Admittedly I haven't been able to get the Hitless achievement yet, but I've gotten really close. Part of me thinks one of you will beat me to it![/p][p][/p][p]What I thought was a normal Thursday yesterday turned out to be Wicked Seed's single highest wish list day, even beating out its first day in Next Fest last June! I'm very humbled by the support and seeing this momentum so close to launch has really motivated me so thank you to all who saw the game and checked it out![/p][p][/p][p]I wanted to share a couple of things I've been working on since my last update:[/p]
- [p]Dedicated animation for going up and down stairs[/p]
- [p]A tooltip while in the stash that gives a brief description of the selected item[/p]
- [p]Cloud saves[/p]
- [p]A bunch of out of bounds fixes and fixes for getting stuck behind props, and fixes for props that don't have collision set up properly[/p]
- [p]While on Dynamic HUD, toggling high powered ammo will now briefly show the UI so you know if it's on or off[/p]
- [p]Ella's out of combat run speed has increased! Her base speed is slightly faster than she was with the Hussle armor attachment. I've adjusted animations as well and I think it feels good! Her movement speed in combat will remain the same as before to maintain combat balance.[/p][p][/p]
Demo Plans
[p]While I am confident in the state of the game right now, I know things will pop up after launch and I will be here to fix things as quickly as I can.[/p][p][/p][p]With that being said, I will be temporarily removing the demo on January 22nd since it will be outdated for when the full game launches. I'm worried about spreading myself thin by maintaining the code for both the main game and demo and making sure they stay in parallel if and when fixes are needed post launch. [/p][p][/p][p]Once things settle down I'd like to bring the demo back and allow progress from the demo to transfer over to the full game for future players who may be on the fence. [/p][p][/p]
