The mists surrounding the Coiled Isle have parted, revealing a land steeped in ancient Amani history and deadly venomous dangers. As Zul’jarra presses on in pursuit of her brother, Zul’jan, you’ll venture into the island’s caustic depths, uncover its buried secrets, and aid her forces as they work to reclaim what was lost. Explore the Vaults of Atal’Utek, battle powerful foes during Curse Surges, strengthen yourself through the Altar of Corrosion, unlock rewards with Zul’jarra’s Forces, and discover the riches hidden within the isle’s cursed waters through a new fishing experience.
What's New in the Coiled Isle
Before you even make landfall on the Coiled Isle, you’ll begin accumulating Renown with Zul’jarra’s Forces through a series of quests in Zul’Aman as you aid Lady Liadrin, Orweyna, and Zul’jarra. As you progress through the campaign and new zone, you’ll gain access to a variety of new rewards and can purchase them from the Renown Quartermaster, Jan’sari the Watchful in Tokka’s Landing. Items can be purchased with Voidlight Marl and Artisan Moxies for profession-specific items. You can view the Renown track and your progress in it within the Adventure Guide (Shift-J).
Zul'jarra's Forces serves as the primary Renown faction for the Coiled Isle. Players can earn Renown by progressing through the campaign, completing activities across the zone, and aiding the Amani resistance. Each Renown rank unlocks new rewards, cosmetics, progression bonuses, and profession opportunities.

Located within the Vaults of Atal’Utek, this three-boss dungeon carries players further into the ongoing story of Zul’jan and the treacherous path he treads in his bid for power beyond the loa.
Bosses: 3
Location: Vaults of Atal’Utek, The Coiled Isle
Difficulties: Dungeon Follower, Normal, Heroic, Mythic
Hidden beneath the Coiled Isle, the Vaults of Atal’Utek are an ancient Amani complex that serves as the heart of the island's repeatable content and public events. Complete the quest, “Into the Vaults of Atal’Utek” from Warleader Abdumati to unlock access, then take part in Temple Patrols, Strikes, Incursions, and battles against Ancient Foes to earn Corrosive Souls, Trovehunter’s Bounty, Venom-Cursed Fragments, Corrosive Coins, and Renown with Zul’jarra’s Forces. It’s dangerous to go it alone, so you may want to make friends or bring a couple with you.
Amani Windcallers can help transport you around the Vaults and even use the wind to hide you temporarily from sight from hostile creatures as you travel through the caustic depths. As you progress through the Vaults of Atal’Utek, you can gain access to additional points making it easier to traverse over the pools of venom.
The Altar of Corrosion is a zone progression system that grants exploration, combat, mobility, and reward bonuses throughout the Coiled Isle. Spend Corrosive Coins to unlock various abilities in a custom talent tree at the Altar of Corrosion in the Amani Foothold in the Vaults of Atal’Utek. These perks will aid you as you continue to explore throughout the Coiled Isle. Additionally, as you unlock more traits, you will also unlock multipliers to the Corrosive Coins you earn within the Vaults, as shown at the top of the tree.

You’ll also unlock access to the Corrosive Codex at the Altar of Corrosion through a short questline beginning with the quest "Corrosive Gifts: Corrosive Power." You’ll need the Codex of the Soul Coilers item first to begin the first quest.
Corrosive Powers can be unlocked in any order, allowing you to choose which options are active at any time. After unlocking eight Corrosive Powers, players will be able to have two powers active at once, empowering them to create powerful synergistic combinations.
These powers can be used in Midnight outdoor zones and within Delves. Players will also encounter a mysterious projection of the Altar of Corrosion within Midnight Delves once the system has been unlocked, allowing players to change and experiment with power combinations at the start of any of these Delves.
You’ll need to use Corrosive Souls to unlock Corrosive Powers. This currency can be obtained from a variety of outdoor activities including Vaults of Atal’Utek activities and bosses, the Prey boss, Ral’Kala, Curse Surges, the lair with Nymrissa Wavecaller, and through Bountiful Delves and Prey Hunts. They can either be spent at the Altar of Corrosion using the Corrosive Codex or given to the Skull of Er’inye vendor in exchange for Corrosive Coins.
Throughout the Coiled Isle, powerful waves of corruption known as Curse Surges sweep across the island, drawing dangerous foes from the cursed depths. These rotating public events occur at five locations around the isle and culminate in a battle against a powerful rare elite. Defeat these enemies to earn rewards, including Corrosive Souls and other valuable loot, while helping push back the corruption spreading across the region.
Each successful Curse Surge also opens a Cursed Fishing pool at that location, creating new opportunities to catch rare fish, gather unique resources, and further your standing with Captain Tokka's Crew. Whether you're hunting rewards, progressing your Renown with Zul'jarra's Forces, or seeking materials for your next adventure, Curse Surges provide a recurring challenge that ties together many of the Coiled Isle's activities.
The waters surrounding the Coiled Isle teem with strange and venomous creatures, creating new opportunities for anglers willing to brave the island’s corruption. Join the tortollan sea captain Tokka and his crew at Tokka’s Landing where you’ll learn you’ll learn Cursed Fishing from him, but that’s only the beginning! Level up his friendship faction by completing dailies, fishing up strange artifacts, and defeating spirits from his past. As you gain his trust, you’ll help him take down the remnants of his traitorous crew, and in exchange he’ll teach you how to fish in cursed waters, venom, and even inside the Vaults of Atal’Utek. He might even take you on a voyage to defeat his nemesis—Nageressies, the Great White Serpent! And who knows what other secrets could be lurking in the waters?
Additionally, Fishing in Midnight now has an Anglin' Score with each fish being worth up to 100 points. Earning 2500 Midnight Anglin' Score will reward you with The Briny Best achievement and the title of 'Briny'! This is purely a fun cosmetic addition, simply catch fish and improve your score!
Speak with Second Mate Sluggs at Tokka’s Folly to purchase a variety of rewards. You'll need Coins, Voidlight Marl, Coiled Filament, Artisan Moxie, and/or Renown with Captain Tokka’s Crew to acquire them, and you can check in with Tokka at any time to track your progress with him and his crew. For extreme anglers, there’s a new Epic Fishing Rod available for purchase with interchangeable boons to aid you in your fishing extravaganza.
