Unveiling the AWC & MDI Road to BlizzCon in 2026!

The clock has officially struck Midnight, and we’re kicking off the future of competition for 2026!

The Arena World Championship (AWC) and Mythic Dungeon International (MDI) are back with programming leading into BlizzCon for the first time in 7 years. Registration is now open. Read below to learn how you can get involved and mark your entry on the Road to BlizzCon!

Arena World Championship

With the return of BlizzCon, we’re shifting the AWC program to a year-long structure culminating with the 2026 Grand Finals live on stage in Anaheim, California. AWC in Midnight begins with open registration cups starting April 8, followed by Seasonal Finals for qualified teams in June.

The two top teams from each Region’s Season 1 Finals, along with the winner of a new ‘Cross Region Playoff’, and an additional team from China, will all advance to the 6-team AWC 2026 Grand Finals live on the BlizzCon stage. Here, the first champions of Midnight will be crowned with $300,000 USD in prizing on the line.

Registration for the online Cups is now live on Raider.IO, with three immediate opportunities to compete, so begin your road to BlizzCon now and earn the exclusive Umbral Champion's Illustrious Banner for Season 1 of Midnight by participating in AWC!

Mythic Dungeon International

The MDI is back in Midnight, and with all new Dungeons and gameplay, and we can’t wait to see what you have in store.

Similar to Arena, we’re adjusting the 2026 program with BlizzCon top of mind, and one of the biggest changes, guided by community feedback, is the return of the speedrunning format in MDI Midnight Season 1.

The newest Season of the competition kicks off on April 15 with Time Trials. Any team can register to participate, gain access to the Tournament Realms, and be challenged to run two dungeons as quickly as possible. The fastest 24 teams will advance directly into the MDI Group Stage beginning May 8.

These qualified teams will be split into three groups of eight, with each weekend featuring one group embarking into a unique pool of dungeons and competing for two spots in the Season 1 Finals. The Season 1 Finals will feature six Global teams (the top two teams from each group) as well as two teams from China, with the ultimate prize of BlizzCon qualification on the line.

The top three Global teams and the highest-seeded China team from MDI Season 1 will be invited to the MDI 2026 Global Finals live on the BlizzCon stage in Anaheim, California, where they will compete for $300,000 USD in prizing!

Registration is now open for MDI Season 1 on Raider.IO, so sign up today and earn the exclusive Umbral Champion's Illustrious Banner for the Season.

Where to Watch

All AWC and MDI programming will be available live on the official Warcraft Twitch and Warcraft YouTube channels, alongside perspectives from participating co-streamers.
