Booking made the world a lot more complicated and shot some holes in the schedule of the original career mode! Please upgrade to v1.2.4 for a more stable experience across both modes. As the manual explains, they are supposed to run parallel in a "shared universe" to preserve rosters and title histories - so consider playing one mode at a time if any disruptions are unwelcome.
